Zach Hill's solo debut, "Astrological Straits," out Aug. 12 on Ipecac
Hella drummer Zach Hill adds solo artist to his lengthy resume with the Aug. 12 release of "Astrological Straits" on Ipecac. The album features a wide array of guest players including Marnie Stern, Deftones' Chino Moreno, both members of No Age, LCD Soundsystem's Tyler Pope and Hella bandmates Carson & Josh. Totimoshi's "Milagrosa" & Melvins "Nude With Boots" in-stores July 8
Both Totimoshi and the Melvins new albums arrive in stores tomorrow, July 8. The Melvins kick off their first US tour in support of the album with a July 15 in-store at LA's Amoeba Records. Totimoshi play 12 Galaxies the night of the album's release and join a run of dates with Nebula on Aug. 5 in Phoenix @ The Sets. Totimoshi's first video from "Milagrosa" is online now; "Gnat" also features a guest appearance by Oxbow's Eugene Robinson.

Microsoft Introduces Limited-Edition Zune Player Designed by Peter Saville to Commemorate Release of "Joy Division" Documentary
Microsoft Corp. announced that a limited-edition Zune digital media player designed by Peter Saville will be made available to commemorate the DVD release of "Joy Division," the critically acclaimed documentary. The film will come pre-loaded on a custom black Zune 80 player that is etched with an adaptation of Saville's iconic artwork from Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures" album. Five hundred limited- edition players will be available for purchase June 17 for $399.99 through http://www.zune.net and http://www.zuneoriginals.net.
